Memorial Day is an American holiday designed to remember and honor those who have died in military service during war time throughout our nation’s history.

To put that in perspective, we’re talking about 1,321,612 people.

That’s why Monday, May 27th is a holiday.

I know most of us think that three day weekends were added to the calendar so we could have fun.  But while you’re having fun this weekend, take some time and consider the people who gave their lives so we could enjoy life in this country.

Kate Smith sings “God Bless America” on November 10, 1938.

I just finished the serial, “The Outer Rims”. As Murphy’s Law would have it I was sitting in a booth at a local McDonald’s when I read the last chapter. I’m glad I was tucked away in a booth out of sight as the tears were flowing. Your ending was exquisite. Thanks for writing one of Amazon’s first serial novels. – Bob Mielke
