Get rid of excuses

It’s easy to get caught up with our problems.  As a writer, I love creating stories.   But I hate marketing.  Contacting agents, managers, producers, publishers takes time and effort.  Add to that indie publishing, designing book covers, maintaining blogs, growing a social network.  We’re talking a lot of work.  I’m a storyteller.  I want to tell stories.  Why should I have to devote so much time to the “business” side things?

Poor me.  It just isn’t fair.

When I start feeling sorry for myself and the work I have to go through to get things done, I like to watch this video of Jessica Cox.

I don’t know about you, but I’m inspired by this young woman to stop complaining about difficulties in my life.

Determine what needs to be done and do it.
